Anyway to be a CEO in the US you would generally be born and raised in the US. Most CEOs are over 50, and the Asian population of the US a few decades ago was not out of line with the 1.6% figure quoted above.</p>

<p>It will be interesting to see what happens to the young Asian Americans of today as they progress in various fields over the next decades.

</p>

<p>How important or relevant are the gender and race distributions of Fortune 500 CEOs? IT might be a lot more interesting to compile a list of the companies that exhibited at CES 2014 or are culled from specific areas. For instance, how many companies located in the Bay Area and active in the “new” industries have leadership where Asians are well-represented? </p>

<p>Well, interesting to some … perhaps!</p>
