<p>For the longest time I thought it was me. Then I changed accountants and found out it had never been me. If you think you need a “better” accountant, you probably do.</p>
<p>I’ve been a partner in a CPA practice for many years. This is a relationship business. Many CPAs are poor communicators, don’t return phone calls, afraid to give an opinion. Find someone who is technically competent that you are comfortable with. Frankly, business is great. We are turning away new customers so we can adequately take care of our existing clientele. The customer service bar in the tax world has been set pretty low.</p>
<p>I agree with everything sryrstress said. April 1rst is a kind deadline. Our deadline this year was March 18. </p>
<p>NewHope33, none of those answers make sense. Either your family members aren’t understanding what they have been told or their accountants are remiss.</p>
