Time Lapse Between UW and Honors?

MidwestMom2Kids_, no, UW Honors students don’t get priority with class registration. What Honors students DO get though are choices for Honors courses. These are courses specially designed by professors that do not have to follow any certain guidelines or procedures from any departments. Basically, they get to teach what they’re passionate about.

Honors students have to get an add code from the Honors office in order to sign up for any of those classes. Seniors get priority with class selection, so their add-code day is first, followed by juniors the next day, and so on. Other than the Honors add-codes, Honors students register normally like other students on campus. If anyone is interested, check out http://www.washington.edu/students/reg/addpolicy.html</a> for more info on registration guidelines.

I should add that Honors freshmen will register for their Autumn 2008 courses during their Advising & Orientation session so these guidelines probably won’t mean as much for you until you start registering for Winter 2009 classes.
