Tips & Advice for Tisch Hopefuls

I realized that, although this is a ood place for advice and questions, I should first go to the actual website. Silly me. And in doing so this is what I found:
"You should apply as a transfer student if you currently are or have been enrolled as a degree candidate in another college or university.

You should apply as a freshman if you have taken college courses as a non-degree student or if you are taking college courses during high school."

When I go to CC this next year I’m not going as a degree candidate I’m just going to take courses. So, just to make sure I am reading this right, I could apply as a freshman?

if you are taking courses for credit then that means you are a ‘degree seeking student’ because those courses are credit towards a degree.

But I don’t even want them as credit towards my degree. Oh well I suppose I’m going to have to be a transfer student then. If I’m a transfer student would grade would that make me in? A freshman or a sophomore?

Also, could someone tell me whether it would be best to do early decision or regular decision? If I’m a transfer student does it make a difference?

I don’t think a transfer can be ED. Transfers usually find out their admissions decisions after the incoming freshmen class is notified.

Why don’t you just call admissions and ask?
