To admissionsdaniel, about interviews

Is it me, or are some of the questions over the last few days a bit out of left field. I think some of you may just be trying to ask random questions. Check out web site, check old CC threads and you will be able to get most of the easy questions answered.

We have never said that interviews are required of any applicant, including ED. Where did you “hear” this??? Our policy states:

http://apply.jhu.edu/visit/interviews.html
http://apply.jhu.edu/visit/aluminterviews.html

“Admissions Interviews”
An interview is a valuable part of the application process. You will meet one-on-one with an admissions representative to talk about your academic background, goals, interests, and what you would bring to the campus community. Your interviewer will also answer your questions, share experiences, and offer his or her personal views of Hopkins.

Interviews are optional. They are informational rather than evaluative. An appointment is required.
