??? out of state??? am I missing something–USC is a private school in state or out of state should not matter. His/her scores are exceptional , the GPA might be low compared to SAT/SATIIs and that might be causing the admission folks some heart ache but still-with those test scores it is difficult to imagine he/she being denied by USC.

my status changed from forwarde 3/25 to reviewed on saturday
Do you think that is a good sign that it changed yesterday as opposed to today when it seems like the majority of peoples has changed?

Haha, I wish there was a sign.
But the status’ are kind of irrelevant, given that some aren’t updated even after recieving acceptance packages.
There’s no figuring out the system or predicting what it means.
Leave it to God and the postal service.

Assuming that my recommendation letters were quite good, one is from a teacher whose class I am not great at but she loves me like a daughter, the other letter is from a teacher whose class I excel at/I get along with the teacher well. I couldn’t read them though.
Thought my essay was pretty solid.

A Short Status Journey in the Life of Oxolojo.

I began life.
I entered High School out of the state of California.
I took all honors classes (with the exception of math).
I decided to take a dual enrollment college English class my senior year.
I achieved a 3.8UW and a 4.3W.
I am in the top 13% of my class out of about <350.
I decided to take some APs my senior year. They are Statistics (up from regular math) and Government.
I managed to get a 30 on the ACT (somehow).
I was the marching band drum major for two years.
I held a job since sophomore year.
I held various positions in various clubs, the most important being Orchestra Club (president).
I participated in an evening orchestra (not affiliated with my school) for four years.
I got a recommendation letter from my awesome Stats teacher who is an MIT alum.
I submitted all of this to USC.
I still have not received a letter either way.

I am very anxious. (Though not too optimistic).
