To schedule 9 or 10 classes Junior Year

<p>So i have 9 classes scheduled atm. Should I an elective to make it 10 which I have space for??? IF I HAD all A’s but 1 B in both situations it would bring my cumulative GPA to a 3.46 uw and 3.61 w, but if I had 10 classes scheduled it would be 3.48 uw and 3.63 w. My only honors are in Chem and Pre Calc Next Year. By cumulative I mean combining Freshman, sophomore, and junior year. As of now I have 9 classes with a study hall. Should I drop study hall and schedule 10 or is it not worth it???</p>

<p>What kind of classes are you taking this year? Are they harder or easier than last year? Did you have a study hall block last year and did you use it? Are you doing extracurriculars/sports that will take up after-school time (i.e. time you could do HW)? What were your grades like last year? Are you trying to improve? </p>

<p>IMHO I don’t think taking a 10th (10th!? When I was in HS you could only take 7, maybe 8 classes per semester. How do you fit in 10?!) class is worth it. Save the time to study, do HW, and stay ahead in your classes. You’re also assuming you will do well in your classes right now (never assume, you just don’t know). It’s not worth it to burden yourself more, and especially since it’s only an elective.</p>

<p>I am taking all regular except honors in Chem and Pre Calc. Same as last year except I too regular in history this year cause I got recommended for regular and honors in Chem cause I got recommended by science teacher. Yea I had 1.5 of a study hall last year. I am involved in Track which runs through Winter and Spring. My grades were all A’s but a B in english and a D in my honors history class which I took by mistake’, should’ve taken regular but feel like I did scheduling right this year. Yea trying to keep an upward trend running. By 9 or 10 classes I mean by the end of the year I would have taken 9 or 10 classes, not semester. Yea as of now I have 9 Classes scheduled for next year, just wanna hear your input on this. i will probably stick to 9 but lets see.</p>

<p>Goal for next year is to flirt with a 4.0, and keep that upward trend running. Wish me luck guys.</p>
