To Which Schools Did Your School Valedictorian Get Accepted?

Others students include Brown,UPenn, Notre Dame, Hambry Riddle,NYU, Gorgetown,UChicago
most not even in the top ten because all of them took AP classes wich are ten times harder than the regular classes given in our school

2008- Attends Columbia
2009- Will attend Yale

University of Notre Dame (accepted also @ Dartmouth)

My D as 2009 valedictorian will attend Smith College; the STRIDE scholarship and the first two years of research were the deciding factors. She also was accepted at Wellesley, Mount Holyoke, Bryn Mawr, Colby, Conn. College and UMass-Amherst, Honors. She got waitlisted at Williams, Swarthmore, Middlebury, and Bowdoin.

2008 UMass Amherst, Honors (I think)
2007 Tufts

Our val is going to TUFTS - applied ED - planning on going to Med school and didn’t want years and years of grinding work. He most likely could of have gotten into some ivys. Personnally I think he’s in for a rude awakening - he’ll be working his ass off at Tufts too.

Our #2 is going to Harvard
Our #3 is going to Northwestern

Val got into HYPMSC+Berkeley (chose H)
Sal got into Brown Cornell Duke JHU (chose Brown)

Top ten at my kids’ hs, NJ public (not supercompetitive school)…from article in today’s local paper

1- Stevens Institute of Technology
2- UCLA
3- Columbia
4- Cornell
5- Virginia
6- UPenn

I’m ranked 16, yet I am the only one to be accepted into MIT (esp early action!) and will to to there this fall!! :D

2331clk - what paper??

pm-ed you kleibo

V - Yale!
S - George Washington

My parochial school is terrible at getting kids into their top choices. Just aweful. However, after looking at this years kids, I think there really is some sort of parochial school bias, because we got a bunch of kids into BC and Villanova. Anyway…

Saludatorian (me):

However, legacy and minority status must give some crazy help, because some top 20 kid who had both got into Columbia ED.
