To Which Schools Did Your School Valedictorian Get Accepted?

Our (most likely) valedictorian was accepted to: UC-Berkeley, UCLA, UC-Santa Barbara, UC-Irvine, Reed College, Scripps College, Pomona College, Tulane U, Willamette U, Occidental College, St. John’s College.

The girl who will probably be val is going to Hillsdale, but got into Notre Dame and Georgetown. my school is run by hillsdale college and a ton of students go there, maybe 7 of 16 in my class are. (class of 07 had 11 of 13 go there are transfer there. idk where the other possible val is going, but i know she got into boston college and some other christian school.

Val was accepted to Wesleyan, Cornell, and Notre Dame. Will probably matriculate at Cornell. Rejected at UPenn, Princeton, Yale, Williams, Smith, Vassar, Barnard. She probably shouldn’t have been val… but she’s one of those people. You know the type. The teachers are afraid of her parents.

Sal was accepted to UPenn, Cornell, U Rochester, RPI, Macaulay @ CUNY, Carnegie Melon, and Cooper Union. Also received full rides to three local schools. I think he was only rejected by MIT. Will go to UPenn. He should’ve probably been val. :)

I feel bad for my my Val, seeing that he was a well rounded athelete, his SAT were supreme, not to mention the amazing GPA and the numerous awards he got. Yet, he was denied from his top choice: Dartmouth.
He ended up being accepted by Holy cross and Umass Amherst though.

Our Val will be attending either CMU, Duke, UVA, or UMD (full ride).

Our Sal will be attending either Cornell or Vandy (full scholarship) next fall.

However…

Other students have gotten into and will be attending impressive schools…

3rd - Penn (Wharton + Huntsman)
4th - Brown/Duke/Penn (SEAS) - Undecided
6th - Princeton
7th - Princeton/Stanford/Penn (Wharton)/Duke (full ride) - Undecided
10th - And I’ll be attending Stanford this next fall.
11th - Cornell/Chapel Hill (full-ride)

The front-runner for valedictorian got accepted to Stanford, and UCLA, Berkeley. He’ll most likely attend Stanford.

This year: Yale EA
Last year: Oxford (Yes, the one in London)
Year before: Princeton
Year before that: Northwestern?
And before that: Stanford

I’ll be the Valedictorian for my high school’s graduating class.

Accepted: Yale, Princeton, UCLA, UC Berkeley

Rejected: Harvard

I’m deciding on either Princeton or Yale at the moment.

Salutatorian: UCLA or Berkeley (rejected to all Ivies)

3rd: University of Rochester

my school had 16 valedictorians and 8 salutitorians. i’m glad to know that the honor means something…

My salutatorian was accepted to Georgetown, Harvard, and Oxford (plus a few others I don’t know) He is going to Harvard.

I was valedictorian of my school…I applied to Harvard, u of rochester, boston college, and rice ed. I’m going to Rice

We have two valedictorians. One will attend the University of Michigan College of Engineering, and the other is debating Michigan State, our local state university, or the University of Chicago.

Amherst College.

Val: Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology but he could have gone anywhere… (He comes to school for fun/ he’s in Calc. 3, I think)

IU-Bloomington for me (I’m barely in the top 10 percent) xD

don’t know about this yr, but last year (2009) the Val was rejected from HYPS,Brown and got into Penn & Dartmouth - is attending Dartmouth. And the Sal got into Yale EA, Harvard, Princeton, and waitlisted at MIT. Is attending Yale.

Cornell
Boston College
Northeastern
Tufts
UConn
UMass Amherst
University of Rhode Island
University of Vermont
Worcester Polytech

He chose to go to Northeastern.

@askolnikov1 I’m guessing money was the major factor there, as NEU isn’t nearly as good as Cornell, Tufts, etc?

Our Val is going to University of Miami with linsane scholarship.

He also got into Vanderbilt, Duke, UF. He’s very quite, so I don’t know if he got into any Ivy or even applied to any.

The valedictorian in my school got into every school they applied to.

MIT (EA)

and then: Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, UPenn

It was honestly quite ridiculous…but it’s to be expected for a URM with the highest grades in the class (by a decent margin), most AP classes, and Intel Semi-Finalist.

The year before the valedictorian went to University of Chicago, last year they went to Stanford and this year Cornell.

Ironically, someone not even in the top 10 is going to Harvard.
