Today's Debate

Couldn’t prove it by this board. I thought GWB caused Katrina and global warming according to most that post here.
I’m voting for Obama in the Texas Primary and McCain in the general election. Figure it out:)

Hey, Tex, can Republicans do that? OH NO! The newscasters promised us nobody would mess around with our Democratic primary by cross-voting!! You’re an armadillo by the side of the road. (If you’re a Dem, I can’t quite figure you out, but I can’t quit you, either. :)

I’m still working on figuring out how the Texas Dems can vote twice in a day: once at the primary, again at the caucus. Must do the primary in order to do the caucus, in other words. Two-thirds of the delegates come from the primary vote, but l/3 come from the caucus.

“Vote early, vote often…” and hook 'em, horns. (Beep)

“I’m voting for Obama in the Texas Primary and McCain in the general election. Figure it out”

Why not go for the trifecta and vote for Hillary in the caucus?

I thought I heard that the Texas caucuses were for electing delegates. At least here in Illinois, not only did we vote for a candidate in the primary, but we also had to vote for our delegates. But it was all handled in the voting booth during one visit.

Obama did indeed vote against the more appropriately named ‘Police America Act.’ He was in the minority now, just as he was in the minority when voting against the Iraq War

It looks like Raph Nader is going to complicate things again this year. Probably helps John McCain, I guess.

“It looks like Raph Nader is going to complicate things again this year”

No!!!??? Really?

I thought he was dead!

I wish he was, but looks like he is going for a resurrection:

i hate ralph nader.

Who’s going to put an issue like single-payer healthcare on the table? The Democrats, obviously.

Who’s going to put an issue like impeaching Bush back on the table? Who cares!? The presidential candidates, by definition, have absolutely nothing to do with that, since they won’t have any political clout until after Bush is gone anyways!

God, Nader’s campaign must be run by idiots.

In this election cycle, where the democrats should be expected to win, I don’t think anyone can take a Nader candidacy seriously as anything but a vanity project.

Nader is unsafe at any speed. I draw a direct link between his idiotic 3rd party candidacy and the presence of Bush in the White House. His was the missing 3% of the vote the Dems needed that year.

THe only thing I still like about Nader is that his Lebanese mother taught him to be a discriminating consumer by serving him natural, whole foods during the l950’s (the time of Twinkies, Hot Dogs and Wonder Bread) because that’s all she knew. So he had a good mom, whom he credits with his consumer-based philosophies.

I liked his early work, especially for automobile safety. Other than that, I’d cross a street not to meet him.

Yes, it is an enduring irony that Nader’s presence in the campaign probably did more than anything else to ensure that Nader’s policies would never be implemented in the next administration, and in fact that the nation’s political landscape would shift in the exact opposite direction of what he wanted. If I were him, I’m not sure how I’d live with myself if I really believed in the ideals I espoused. Luckily for him, he probably believes more in his own superiority than anything else.

Well, 16 hours later I’m still waiting to learn exactly where it was that Amom2 saw Obama nearly hit Clinton…

^ It seems that many Clinton supporters have started to follow their candidate’s lead , by promoting ridiculous accusations about Obama in an attempt to undermine the momentum he has gained. Sad :(

Hopefully, any undecided voters will see such nonsense for what it is. Sorry desperation.
