Top 10 kids...10 years later

I’m completely gobsmacked that so many of you people not only actually remember the top 10 kids in your graduating class but that you know what they’re doing today. Same for knowing about your kids’ top 10. ^:)^

I graduated from HS 49 years ago and I’ll bet I don’t know the whereabouts of more than about 5 people in my class. As for my kids’ classmates, I could probably tell you what maybe 10 of their friends are doing today. I feel really dumb now. L-)

I will join the dumb club, @patsmom

Have no idea what the top 10 kids in our kiddos classes are up to… or what my smart HS classmates are doing now.

I’m with you, patsmom. I only know the val from my D’s class (he gave a speech at graduation and humblebragged his way through the whole thing) and none from S1’s or soon-to-be HS grad S2’s classes (other than possibly S2, they don’t rank).

I know only two from my HS days, one is our “real” valedictorian as our declared val had transferred in junior year with over a 4.0 and they counted it, would have been borderline 10% otherwise. Real val went from Yale med to family practice to volunteer OB/family practice in Africa and the Arctic.

The other was an Ivy educated public interest lawyer, went back and got an MBA, now heads a community development office.
