<p>Paris Hilton is the daughter of Byron Hilton, the hotel guy. In case there was a misunderstanding, it’s not a coincidence that Hilton hotels have that name.</p>
<p>Paris Hilton’s is one of the heirs to a fortune of over half a billion dollars. I don’t consider that to be “anyone.” She was handed her certificate of “making it” by daddy.</p>
<p>If I had the kind of money she does, I might be able to make a good business. I mean, I could try a couple hundred times.</p>
<p>So if Paris Hilton is “anyone,” where’s my Ferrari? Where’s my Manhattan penthouse? Where’s my line of designer quality purses? Forget that last one, but if she’s anyone then I must be a knotch or two below “nobody.”</p>

I’ve basically stopped visiting those danged parent forums. All I see when I visit those forums are posts like"My s made it in to harvard, but then he’s always been on the honor roll, and has a great personality," or “my d and i have a great relationship. I’m really happy she made in to a top tier college. She’s always been at the top of ther class and she deserves it.” Seriously, such posts really irk me.</p>

<p>i still maintain that the vast majority of threads on the parents’ forum are interesting and civilized. i’m not going to defend this person’s opinion of paris hilton (who was born into unimaginable wealth and privilege and therefore deserves fame?) whom i can’t stand, but you can’t base your opinion of an entire forum, or even one individual, on the occasional thoughtless remark. i’ve seen 4824502740204 times more personal attacks on the regular forums. at least in the parents’ forum the ad hominem remarks tend to be in complete, grammatically correct sentences.</p>
<p>the point is, your bashing an individual poster here puts you at the same level as her ever-offensive remarks, if not worse, because instead of criticizing her to her proverbial face you bash her in an unrelated thread.</p>
<p>most of the parents here are really, really nice. i’ve had a bad home life for as long as i can remember and i wish i could have gotten half of the support i’ve seen here from my own family.</p>
<p>Since this thread has deterioriated into bashing individual posters, it has run its course and I will close it after removing the threads that singled out posters for bashing.</p>
