Toshiba issue - WWYD?

I agree with the above poster that Apple’s service has been stellar for us. I know that PC users get kind of snipppy about Apple products, but for me they are not even close to being comparable.

Best to you and your son with this ridiculous situation.

Apple… <3 <3 <3 !!

I’ve been with PC’s since they came out (literally, my dad worked with the first ones that came out with IBM. We were probably one of the first people ever to have one in our house). It’s hard to even consider Apple, but we might look at them next time we are shopping if I can’t find a decent PC company left.

Did he by chance buy it with an Amex card? They’re usually pretty good at going to bat for customers.

Since negotiating the “customer service” experience is clearly not working very well, could you help him briefly summarize (less than one page) the issue and then have him send a letter to Toshiba’s American headquarters?

I’d also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I was surprised how fast one renegade retailer got back to me after that – they wanted the complaint cleared, soonest.

And to Ellemenope: I’ve had very good customer service from Apple, Amex, Land’s End, LLBean, Dacor, and KitchenAid. Amazon was really good once I started using the “call me right now” option, which gets you a human being who speaks English and who can actually do what needs to be done.

So glad to hear, arabrab…I was giving up hope.

My Toshiba dies all the time … has to be restarted after getting the black screen. The CD drive quit working the other day … and I am suffering Scrabble withdrawal. I hate this stupid laptop!!
