Transfer admission

Hey you are in the same boat as me. I did very poorly in high school little bit less than 3.0.

I went to cc and I’m in my 2nd year with around 55 credits and a 3.8. I know how you feel in that you want to transfer after one year. I didn’t take sat or act and most colleges don’t require you to send them as long as you have like 30 credits. That being said if you went another year and keep up those grades i would give you a great shot at all the schools (uva requires act or sat even with my credits).

I would say odu vcu radford are all very very realistic.

I don’t really know about ECU or WVU but i have heard its easy to get into WVU.

I would say JMU is a maybe. They seem to be very weird about freshman applications I’m sure they take a hard look at high school for freshman. That being said your college gpa is better than a lot of people i know who have gotten in. I would say you have a good shot but not definite.

I would say UVA is a no go. They really look into high school as much as college coursework. It wouldn’t hurt to use this as a reach school as you have a shot.

I just made a jmu transfer thread for everything from chances to decisions ect. you should check it out <a href=“JMU Fall 2013 Transfer - James Madison University - College Confidential Forums”>JMU Fall 2013 Transfer - James Madison University - College Confidential Forums;
