Transfer Chances ?? Trying Ivy

Is there any particular reason you suggested I apply to Rutgers or TCNJ ?
Just curious if you see me as more of a fit to them than a more competetive institution

Unless your family owns a business and your parents are divorced, you own multiple investment properties, etc. you actually WILL know how much need based money you will get. This is not a mystery if your family’s finances are straightforward, and you’ve got your tax information from your own work.

Run the numbers. Don’t fall in love with any college which is unaffordable.

I recommended NJ public schools because finances appear to be an issue and it is difficult to get aid as a transfer student at most colleges. NJ is your state of residence and it does have some fine public colleges. Those colleges may prove to be your most cost-effective options. It is fine to apply to some reach schools but in the end you want to be certain you have some viable, affordable choices.

And as I noted above, you need to consider any Ivy level college to be reaches - not that you haven’t done a great job at your CC – it is just that few transfer spots are available.

oh ok, yeah I mean you guys are right, I just don’t want to feel like i never gave it my all to get into as good an institution as I was capable of getting into.

If you would like a reach-school suggestion that offers the option of a business major, research the well-funded University of Richmond.
