If you are applying to NYU, you need to meet their requirements and have a lot of cash to cover their tuition and fees. They are known for being lousy with financial aid. Assume over 100K for tuition and R&B.

You need to ask your parents what they are willing to pay and then investigate schools that fit that budget.
If you are not sure what you would like to study, you can always go to a CC and spend time in various classes to see where you have strengths or what direction you think you would like to further explore.
