Transfer orientation

This past summer, there were a series of one-day orientation events for transfer students. They’re not strictly required (they’re able to get all your information to you in other forms) but it’s highly recommended for a smooth transition.

The general information page on the program is at [UC Davis Orientation - Transfer Student Program](http://orientation.ucdavis.edu/transfers/index.html); the dates that they held the sessions on were:

* Group T-1: Friday, June 19

 • Group T-2: Monday, June 22
 • Group T-3: Tuesday, June 23
 • Group T-4: Wednesday, June 24
 • Group T-5: Thursday, June 25
 • Group T-6: Friday, June 26

So it looks like if you can schedule yourself to be around during late June of next year, you should be in pretty good shape. Worst case, give the school a call; I’m pretty sure they already know when next year’s sessions will be.

Do keep in mind that, depending on your major, certain days will not be available to you. They try to concentrate some of the smaller majors onto one or two days so that they can allow the faculty advisors the best use of their times (or at least I guess that’s why they do it).
