<li><p>People are people everywhere. But my rising soph D has found some nice people at MHC. Students are not cutthroat academically and want to do their best, not better than the girl in the next seat.</p></li>
<li><p>S.Hadley is not much more than a large strip mall. But it DOES have most of the basics. Amherst has tons of restaurants and a few stores. Northampton has many stores. There are many of the big stores nearby, accessible by free bus or car. You may not have too much time to go off campus anyway. Many thing are happening on campus and in the other colleges every weekend. Most MHC students are really busy with on campus things.</p></li>
<li><p>Rooms can be really nice. Mostly quite big, and I have seen many on campus and many at other colleges. Firsties and sophs will get doubles. Food is good and plentiful and offered in many places.</p></li>
<li><p>If there are few courses in the catalog that interest you, why are you going to MHC? But MHC generally has similar courses to other LACs. My D fulfilled almost all of her academic distribution requirements during her first year, without pain.</p></li>
<li><p>Sex assaults? What??? U<em>N</em>I<em>G</em>O is a nice source of anonymous slanders.</p></li>
