Harvard does admit a handful of transfers, some years (and some regular CC posters were admitted that way). But the number of transfers admitted is so small relative to the number of people who apply – and some of them are recruited athletes, or people accepted at Harvard in the past who chose to do something radically different instead and now are reapplying as transfers – that, ex ante, no one else actually has much of a chance. Some “regular” people will be admitted, but it’s completely impossible to plan on it, even if you are a great candidate.

If you can afford it, this is a great option, hundreds of times easier to arrange than an actual transfer: [Harvard College Admissions § Applying: Visiting Undergraduate Student Program](http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/apply/vus/index.html). You would not be eligible for financial aid or for housing on campus, however.
