Transferring HS

My parents don’t want me to go (no matter what they tell me).
They’re not preventing me from going (as they don’t want to stand in my way and hurt my future), and they’re doing everything they can to encourage me, but they don’t want me to go. I’m the youngest of all my siblings, so I think that that’s causing problems.

I’m really excited, though. I’ve taken placement tests, and they were somewhat discouraging. There wasn’t really any need for me to take them, though, because they were only to tell if I would be placed beyond the normal courses in chemistry (which I haven’t taken), and calculus.
In the end, it came down to being a tough decision, though, because I had many high positions in my clubs being offered to me from my clubs at my sending high school. Also, in the end, I realized that I had a lot more really close friends than I had thought. Most of them have been really supportive.

[edit] I made it out as though my parents don’t want me to go, and that’s not quite true. They’re just worried that I’ll leave and never come back.
I should say that they’re very excited that I’m fortunate enough to be able to attend. They think it’s amazing that there’s a program like this, and they’re very proud of me, but I can tell that they’ll miss me very much.
