USC isn’t a UC…

While the majority of USC transfers do come from community colleges, that is a result of the fact that the majority of USC transfer applicants are applying from community colleges - not from any preference given to cc transfers. USC maintains an articulation history for CSU Long Beach to give you an idea of which courses are likely to transfer (please note, this is an articulation history, not an agreement, so it is not a guarantee) Error; .

If you are making progress toward your degree at CSULB and can afford it, your best plan would be to continue there while you apply to USC and have your fall-back be to complete your degree at LB. If there are UCs in which you are interested (which, as you now know, does not include USC), yes, transferring to a cc at the close of this sesmester would be your best course of action.

Good luck.
