You’re going to law school. Nowhere is better. Harvard has 146 schools represented in their first year class. Penn 213 in the school.
Montclair State or Michigan - the school names doesn’t necessarily convey an advantage.
As for when to transfer, many schools take 2nd years but then your hs record and test likely matter.
