Yes, KMC has very reasonably-priced lodging and many families, school, scouting and other groups stay there. Sadly, I cannot go to the Big Island any more, as it worsens my breathing for at least a week after each visit.

Would love to see more US and Canadian national parks. Love natural large undeveloped spaces!

I really want to go on a safari somewhere in Africa. I would love to see all of those wonderful animals in the wild, while they are still there.

Mine is closer to home… I want to hike in every state park in my state (but not gonna lie… I have been thinking about moving to a more interesting state before undertaking this project :D).

I want to go to the Shetland Islands. Not just to look around and leave. Maybe a three month job or a six week class. I want to know what it’s like to live there.

I’d love to see the states I haven’t been to yet. I spent 9 months on the road and only missed a few - Montana, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa in the north and Arkansas and Oklahoma in the south. I’ve been to Hawaii and Puerto Rico too.

I’d like to go to the Shetland Islands, but it would have taken too long on the ferry. We did spend several days in Orkney which was extremely cool.

I am so impressed!
Ive only been to Oregon, California, um, Missouri when I was three- oh & Detroit, Michigan a couple years ago.
But I do admit the northwest is pretty beautiful, so it keeps me busy traveling between the mountains and the ocean.
:)

Ireland, because it’s my ancestral homeland
Australia, because I fell in love with it during the Sydney Olympics
New England in the fall, because I’m sure it’s 100 times more beautiful than the pictures
Washington DC, because I’m a politics junkie

Everytime I make a list it changes where my kids go and I visit. I have enjoyed all of the visits. I would like to see Japan and I think there is now a direct flight from Denver… parts of Canada seem very attractive, Ireland. I got really sick after Argentina so the don’t drink the water places are less attractive to me like Africa and India. I have not been to the south except Florida. Poland would be nice though.

My oldest had been to all but Australia and Antarctica by his second birthday. Of course, now that he’s old enough to appreciate it, he doesn’t remember most of the places he’s been and I’d like to take him back to some of them.

I probably wouldn’t remember before I was two either.
Her goal is also to include* at least *three weeks in each place instead of just passing through & no/ few hotels. She likes staying with locals.

Been to every state but Alaska and Hawaii–so those are at the top of my list. Next on list is Japan. This summer–only going to vacation home, which is on an island, but my plan is to walk every conservation trail on island this summer.

I’d like to take a bus the length of the Andes. Ecuador to Patagonia.

Tasmania. The Alhambra in Spain. Israel. The mountains and craft towns of Mexico. Morocco. Petra in Jordan. Greece. NYC. The Dalmatian Coast. Hike one of the Taoist Mountains in China.

However, am spoiled, as I’ve traveled more than most folks, due to extended family wandering.

That’s because…with the exception of Bangkok , I have been to all of those places. And I am sure many others have been to those spots too. But, though I will probably return to Paris ,Vienna, and Istanbul a bucket list implies travel that you have not made and want to do before you kick it.The main reason that I still have what I listed ON my list, is the difficulty of getting into those places. It’s a difficult goal.

I’ve been to all those cities too, except Istanbul - and yes, I’d like to see the Hagia Sophia.

Petra and Wadi Rum had been on my bucket list forever, but I went last December - and I’m surprised they aren’t on anyone’s list! Petra is definitely in the top 5 of places I’ve been.

Istanbul is the best and I love the people there. Sad to see the conservative government crack down on the wonderful open minded, creative and hospitable citizens of that city.
