Is this a typical nyc wedding? Usually the cocktail hour would start around 12:30, then the reception at 1:30, dances, speeches, and then food courses. Just to give you an idea of timing. I think Amtrak is tbd way to go, especially this far in advance (prices just go up). Refundable tickets should only have a small up-charge this early on. I’d take a taxi or Rideshare from Penn station and back. We’ve taken Amtrak from Boston to NJ as late as 7 pm on a Sunday (and it was full).
