We ate our weight in oysters at Elliott’s in Seattle. Beautiful water view too.

I was in Victoria off a cruise ship. We were able to take a city bus to downtown and walk around all we wanted, and then went to a park that was between downtown and the water and it was really nice. Huge park. We went into the Empress and walked around outside, but had not arranged for tea. Next time.
We also walked around the outside of the Capitol building and wish we could have gone in but it was closed. Next time.
I’ve been saying “next time” to Victoria for several years now and am excited that “next time” is in two weeks! It will be my first trip there although I have been to Vancouver multiple times.
Victoria is really beautiful and lush. Of course it was raining a good deal of the day so the plants get plenty of water.

We did enjoy tea at Empress but there a ton of others there. I actually preferred it at Huntington Library in Pasadena.

That’s the gorgeous Beacon Hill Park, a gem. And it’s not the Capitol, it’s British Columbia’s Parliament. Btw, the Legislative Dining Room there is a pretty elegant place to have breakfast or lunch.

Fortunately, I live within bicycling distance of the Huntington and actually had one of my baby showers at the tea room there ….rather a while ago!
