<p>Michigan really follows the standard semester system (fall term from september to december, winter term from december to april). It’s just classified as a trimester system because we have a spring/summer term (May-July). Only a small proportion of students take classes then, it’s basically just summer school for students who want/need to get ahead with basic requirements (there’s a relatively limited number of courses offered, compared to fall/winter).</p>
