Trinity Merit Aid

My S said that he read on the website that you get FA package one week after they receive your FAFSA, but I am not sure he read that right.

But checking the website I see this, it also concerns the verification process as well, which may not apply, so I can’t find the exact wording:

February 15 is Trinity’s priority date for first year students to submit the FAFSA application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov

"Meeting deadlines is a very important part of the financial aid process especially since funding may be limited. By filing the FAFSA early, a student ensures that he or she will be given the maximum consideration for programs with limited funds.

Once your FAFSA is submitted electronically, our office should receive your results within 3-5 business days. We may be notified that you were selected for verification by the Department of Education, we may select your file for verification, or we may simply generate your financial aid award pacakge (see: Verification). If you submit verification documents to our office, we will make every effort to process your award within 3 weeks. In addition, if you submit a Financial Aid Reinstatement appeal or a Special Circumstances appeal, our goal is to process it within 2-3 weeks. Please understand that during our peak processing times, it may take our office a bit longer to determine your financial aid award."
