Lower division UGBA prerequisites should cover the lower division Economics prerequisites, unless you want to do Economics with more math (with Economics 101A, 101B, and 141), in which case you will need to take math up to Math 53 and 54 (effectively one or two extra math courses).

At most two upper division courses can overlap between the two majors. Effectively, you need to take six additional non-overlapping upper division courses.

Due to the extra upper division courses needed, you may want to clear the 7 course breadth as early as you can (in lower division). Note that UGBA is more restrictive in that UGBA courses, some Economics courses, and some other courses are not allowed to be used for the 7 course breadth.

So between UGBA100A/UGBA100B and Econ100A/Econ100B, which set is more recommended? And assuming that I’m using these, am I able to overlap more business and econ? And what is recommended? Also, how many more units would I have to add for Japanese? I’ve been planning, and I don’t have good prospects of getting under 120 units…

For the B courses, UGBA and Economics accept each other’s courses.

For the A courses, UGBA accepts the Economics courses, but Economics does not accept the UGBA course.

UGBA has a minimum unit requirement of UGBA courses; if you substitute an Economics course (e.g. Economics 101A or 100A for UGBA 101A), it does not count toward the minimum unit requirement of UGBA courses.

Would it be possible to split it by doing Econ 100A and UGBA 100B, or does that make no sense at all? And is 120 units the maximum I can do…? Or can I do more, and to what extent until they force me to graduate?

So is it sensible to just do a Double Major and a minor? I planned it out, and it’s 125 units… So I should be able to finish if I take summer classes?
