Trying again, a Weight Watchers thread

Congratulations @Singersmom07! What a great problem to have, though I don’t have good suggestions or solutions for you. Although I have no idea how, given how much exercise we were doing, over vacation I managed to put back on a few of the few pounds I had lost :frowning: Happy to say I’ve lost all but 1/2 pound of the backslide and am ready to work on reaching my goal. When there’s not a lot to lose it sometimes feels like it’s a lost cause, but I’m determined now!

@Singersmom, how about shopping at Ross or similar discount stores or consignment shops or even Target or WalMart. Look for soft, dresses that drape or T-shirt dresses, perhaps with a belt to emphasize the new slimmer you, maybe some wraparound skirts where you can add a few buttons as you slim down with nice T-shirts? Maybe a few inexpensive jeggings and some longer T-shirt tunics? Just a few of these while you are in transition can help you look and feel pulled together and help you reach your ideal weight sooner.

Anyone else having trouble logging in today? Won’t log me in on computer and phone.

@scmom12 - I’ve been trying to use the app today and it’s not working…must be some kind of glitch. I even updated the app and still no go.

I’m in oK now. Everyone else too?

Yes

Depending on which clothes you want to replace right away I’d look at consignment shops for work clothes, sales for jeans - I found a great deal at Old Navy for a pair of kick around jeans, a pair of shorts and a pair of drawstring linen pants all in the next size down - didn’t break the bank and I had options, and for everything else I’d probably make due. Of course where you live makes a difference too…I’m in SoCal so no drastic weather changes. I did just buy a few new work blouses to celebrate my 8th week of maintenance - Nordstrom Rack anniversary sale. And DO NOT save the outgrown clothes. Donate them. You don’t want them. I’m truly loving the Freestyle program!

Thanks for suggestions. I don’t usually shop those stores so I will give them a try. I have very little work clothes needs since I am semi-retired and work from home. Only go our to occasional client and association meetings.

This has been a wonderful journey so far -32 lbs in 5 months, and not difficult. But, at 62, the diet face is showing. I’ve always been told I look at least 10 years younger than my age, however, I already see the change in the face. Will try staying plump with continually drinking water but I think it is inevitable that the wrinkles do catch up. Regardless, this Freestyle program is awesome!

I actually just cancelled my membership. I know what to do, I’m doing it and, since I really don’t have that much to lose, it’s proceeding at a snail’s pace. I have lost about 6 lbs. since rejoining in the spring and I can’t justify the monthly fee anymore. @threeofthree, congratulations!

Summer has been a challenge with vacation and visitors, more eating out and more wine  I have hovered at the same 20 lb loss and need to get serious about tracking better. I thought about canclellling but don’t think I have all of the eating out issues resolved. If I start back down again I may.

I’m 11 weeks into full maintenance, and am happy to weigh in monthly to not pay the fees.

Congrats @JustaMom! This is actually my second time around. I am a lifetime member that fell off the wagon long ago. 11 weeks with maitnenance is great!
