Any school considering your application would be looking for a few specific things beyond your current better grades at cc. And the more evidence you can provide that reassures them, the more likely it is that they’ll accept you. They’d want to know that you identified what was interfering with your achieving at reasonable levels at your old school, that you have taken steps to ensure that those (or new) reasons are no longer and will not be operative in the future and that their school isn’t likely to present factors that would interfere with your achieving at their school.
