<p>As I read it, I thought maybe the call was just a confirmation that everything was in process? Status of application could mean a lot of things. We also heard from a non-10 school prior to March 10 - and I have read many similar stories- because the school wanted to give us the option of being on the financial aid wait-list or being admitted as full pay. Some schools are very careful not to admit a student without aid without giving parents a heads up because they want to avoid all the heartbreak that entails - some parents actually prefer to be rejected or wait-listed to being admitted with no aid since they are not in a position to attend without it, and if it is a child’s first or only choice, March 10 can be a misery in this situation. </p>
