I don’t know much about that process, but I did find a section under the USC Financial Aid page that may help. It is the FAQ section, and it has tutorial links for Stafford, Perkins, etc. It also mentions about signing a Master Promissory Note online and it has steps to guide you through applying financial aid to your bill. Also, on this same FAQ page if you click on “How do I use my financial aid to pay my fees ?” there is a section about PLUS disbursements. (Some are paper checks, etc.) Here’s the link:

I’m sure there are a lot of parents trying to wade through the financial aid scenario. Don’t feel bad about calling and asking for clarification. Everyone at USC has been super helpful to me whenever I’ve had any type of question.</p>
