Or at least put themselves a percentage point ahead of a close academic rival like Miami? How silly. You didn’t provide two sources, because one source is only reporting on the business school. The 59% number for 2009 class is correct, as is the 63.7% number for 2010. If you want to say Tulane is lying, go ahead. I have cited the sources for those numbers, you have cited a source for the business school. As TulaneJeff has said, Tulane does indeed publish these stats. You just refuse to accept them. We can let any readers of these posts decide which they think is more reliable and reflective of the entire freshman classes. Also, the approx. 60% was not a blog, but a brief description on the website describing the incoming class. The 59% was in the detailed profile of the 2009 incoming class. The 63.7% for the incoming class of 2010 is not approximate, obviously, and is on the blog of the Associate Director of Admissions, and will be on the Tulane website come this fall when they replace the 2009 profile with the 2010 profile.

And that is a particularly hysterical statement since we have already established from PR themselves that they only report exactly what the schools tell them. As far as your first quote, what are they reporting? Just what the schools tell them! You think they actually sift through the trash and try and come up with independent numbers? You think if Tulane was saying 59% on their web site but the “real” number was 50% they wouldn’t expose that? No, they know they only got the numbers for the business school, because no doubt that is exactly what they asked for, since that is how they report it. Yeesh.</p>
