Because I am a firm believer in responsive design (meaning the code of a unified site presents according to device its on); and as statistics in the DM world would confirm, I, like most folks do not want to take up space with an app until there’s a specific attractive utility; do not want the hassle of versioning up/dealing with bugs/crashes/fixes every time my IOS upgrades; nor do I want to experience the site differently on my ipad than I do on my desktop.
The mobile app may be fine for a phone. But those who use a larger tablet such as the ipad tend to prefer real live www navigation
