Does anyone know if Presidential scholarships are given out at a later date?
@4729562 Congrats on being accepted. When the rep came to D school. They stated they are limiting Presidential to 10 due to the amount of qualified candidates. My DD also received the Dean’s scholarship, but also had the stats for Presidential.
Will you be attending?
Accepted!!
GPA: 3.0
SAT: 1230
EC: Church Involvement, Volunteering, family responsibilities
@CollegeorBustNE It was going to be one of my top choices but without the presidential scholarship it won’t be affordable
Daughter accepted to Nursing program with $17k scholarship. Was told to send in superstore ACT which bumps her up a notch for possible more scholarship.
Son accepted w/ $20,500 yr merit. Unless he decides, at last minute, he wants small school environment, he will not be attending. He has no FAFSA demonstrated need, therefore, it is hard to justify higher net cost than OOS tuition at most ranked state flagships ( after merit).
When do they announce the Presidential Scholarships?
Accepted stat share:
- Loyola for $21,000 for International Studies major
- 1350 SAT, 29 ACT
- Total of 5 AP classes, 2 Jr Year and 3 Sr Year. Remaining classes are honors.
- 4.27 weighted GPA, I have no idea what the unweighted is
- Top 10% of his class
DS received his acceptance today for Business Management. Regular decision. $23k scholarship. Nice news before the holiday break!
Just got accepted to the Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program! Stats are posted above.
@4729562 Congrats and thanks for posting. My DD was also accepted in the the Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program and invited to apply tothe Magis Honors Stem Program
was it a separate letter you got for the Special Jesuit Liberal Arts honors program?
@gingerspice40 both were first listed on the portal and then she received to letters in the mail. This came after her acceptance with merit award.
where else has your child heard back from??
Is this something nursing students get as well or just certain incoming majors?
