Looking at a list of comprehensive post-college salaries has to take into account what schools a university has and the social mission of each school. For example, UVa has a public-minded vision as dictated by its founder Thomas Jefferson coupled with an Education School (which Cornell does not have) that trains many teachers who later teach at public elementary/high schools around the country. How many teachers do you know earn high salaries? Their salaries will bring down the average of the overall class. (And in their case, it’s not about the money but about educating the next generation.)</p>
