<p>Please visit UGA and soon. If he’s visited UA and liked the campus, he really needs to make a comparison to UGA. I will tell you that when we visited, we left before the honors college information session (we had gone to the regular info session & the campus tour.) All 4 members of our family were there and it just didn’t “feel” right to any of us. Very subjective of course, and no slam on the excellent academics available there. In a moment worthy of the thread <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/705291-stupidest-reason-child-wont-look-college.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/705291-stupidest-reason-child-wont-look-college.html</a> my D was done when our tour guide stood in front of the chapel and said a lot of girls there “picked their date before they picked their mate” because the chapel calendar filled up quickly ;)</p>
<p>Also, for us, it was a drive to campus that was long & not convenient to anything we would do on a regular basis. UA is 3 1/2 hours away and we pass the home of long time friends who we visit on a regular basis anyway. It wasn’t a dealbreaker but added to the list of cons.</p>
