UBS or Merrill Lynch

<p>I don’t know the answer (which means I should not be posting here at all, but anyway…)</p>

<p>Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and I roamed Wall Street, the big multinational commercial banks (like UBS) were generally stronger than the investment banks/ securities firms in currency trading. Certainly stronger than mine anyway, and stronger than most of them certainly, I don’t know about ML specifically.</p>

<p>The financial world, and the firms themselves, are so different now that this does not answer your question, just a little historical perspective, which is all I have.</p>

<p>You can probably find league tables showing the leading firms by various metrics in specific areas like Currency Trading. This looks like one, I can’t actually see their results though:
