@goldencub, you said it way better than I did. I suspect most of this concern is now based on second-guessing. You all submitted what you thought were two strong PSs, and I’m sure they are.
I venture if you had the extra month from the outset, you’d be starting in mid-Dec. 
Everyone should be happy with their submissions, and I can almost guarantee anyone who might apply in this December window has not started the application and will be less prepared than you ever were.
Also, just a heads up to @briank82 and @mikesauce, you’re both Haas, so they examine those PS on a level far greater than regular admissions, so I can understand the added stress there.
P.S. Did not know that about the college of chemistry.
