SHATTERINGDREAMS Bro I get what you’re saying and you should be proud of yourself for making such a night and day improvement academically. But what I meant in my response to you is, college is hard, when we v make the choice to start college, we’re aware of the possibility of failing due to difficulties in Academics or just life in general. And we ALL have them. So if student A begins college, navigates the life and academic problems they have well enough to get straight A’s that semester, and every semester after that; Their accomplishment is different than student B who begins college, struggles to adjust and as a result doesn’t earn straight A’s that first semester, but figures things out and Is able to earn straight A’s every semester after that. I’m not undermining your accomplishments, I just want you to come to the understanding that those 4.0 cc students accomplished a little more than you’re giving them credit for. From a 4.0 cc student, good luck on the Berkeley decision.
Hello! I’m a first time poster- the anxiety induced by this wait is killing me! I keep checking MAP every 10 mins, knowing that decisions have yet to be posted. I’m pretty sure I’m going crazy! I applied for L&S Computer Science. GPA 3.89, Major GPA 4.0. IGETC is completed, and need two more major pre req’s. I’m 29 F who up until a year 1/2 ago was working at a tech company as a product manage and software engineer. I have a HUGE passion for technology and hope to get into Cal to really take my skills to the next level.
Applied: UCSC, UC Davis, Cal and Santa Clara
Admitted: UCSC, Santa Clara
Waitlisted: UC Davis ( I didn’t really have any of the prereq’s)
Hopeful: Cal!!!

I feel like im the only one not stressed out. A year ago i didnt even know Berkeley was a good school, and only applied to UCs at the last minute because i had a fee waiver. I didn’t even find this site until after my Apps were in. Ive been accepted to every school so far just waiting on UCB, so its been a blessing either way for this HS drop out. Good luck to everybody. Remember school is what you make it if you end up at a different school.
