UC Berkeley 2025 Portal Astrology Discussion

I have seen a couple of reddit/tiktok comments saying that they didn’t have the astrology last year and got in. I’m assuming these people got IDs super close to admission and didn’t check again because they thought they got rejected/waitlisted.

However, in this thread, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone get an ID from Monday onwards but I wish you the best of luck!

Do you know if anyone who has gotten an ID has ever been rejected?

Same question, I have an ID… how confident should I be?

In last year’s thread someone got waitlisted with the astrology working, but it was because they applied to a dual degree program, which gives you a student ID regardless of admission status.

Also, those who have participated in a Cal affiliated program previously may already have a student ID from that program, so they may have to wait until Thursday for their true results.

This and a lot of other information has been extensively discussed in previous posts in this thread, and I really wish there was an easy way to pin messages so that newcomers could see what we’ve determined so far. In conclusion, aside from the above cases, ID == accepted, No ID == highly likely rejection/waitlist. This method has been consistent for years now with almost 100% accuracy so I hope this puts your mind at ease.

The question is if there is any other way to know with an existing ID due to a summer course. Read through the thread but nothing in that area.

80% of applicants with a GPA in the 4.8-5.0 range get rejected from the COE at Berkeley and I suspect the trends are not too different with LS, CDSS, or any of the other schools.

All that said, the astrology is not a guarantee and you should simply wait for the final decision. Finally, FWIW, please dont wrap your identify with this process - did you start the 501-c to help others. If so, why do you think its a “waste” now that you are under the impression that you may not get into Berkeley.

You mentioned you did research as columbia you probably have a decent shot of getting in their with your stats and ECs. I wouldn’t be surprised if you get into a school at a similar level of Berkeley cause you deserve it.

Admit data for UCB based on major. (This is from 2023)

I applied to the same thing and havent gotten it

My son applied for a Berekely Dual Degree (MET) of EECS + HAAS.
He does not see an ID.
He got into every single UC except waitlist UCSD for either CS/EE

I was wondering because he was a dual degree applicant, does the ID like hold true? Because currently, it’s not looking so good as in he can not see his ID. Is it still possible for him to get in?

MET acceptances were sent out a few months ago like in January. The type of Dual Degree program that were referenced throughout this discussion has to due with enrolling at two seperate universities (one of which is obviously Berkeley) to obtain two degrees, last year an applicant with the ID who applied to this got waitlisted. He most likely got waitlisted/rejected if he doesn’t have an ID at this point. Non MET admits get considered for a secondary major if not admitted to MET.

My primary source is my sister who got into MET this January.

i think the method where you try to change your cal id pass phrase? you’d have to scroll to yesterday but it said if it let you change it was because of a summer program, if it says we don’t have enough information about you in our system that it’s acceptance i think

What does it mean if it let you change with Student ID but not Alumni ID?

if it pops up with the green bar that allows you to change, i do think that ID is from previous sessions and not a new ID? I am not entirely certain, if someone knows more let me know

First time here. My daughter has an ID starting with 304. She had applied for an ATDP summer program back in 2020 and was waitlisted but never got in. Does that mean she may have been assigned an ID then? Or does the 304 indicate that it was assigned recently and that she got in? Thank you in advance for answering

Most likely a newly assigned ID because back them ID must’ve been starting with 303. It’s probably 95% that she got in since its a relatively new ID.
