***UC Berkeley Class of 2020 Applicant Discussion***

really want to get into Cal and go to UCLA… :frowning:

@blazedragon You again!

@utkdxb Around 5pm pacific time.

@utkdxb I am active on 8 CC threads, so it’s quite natural for us to meet again. :smiley: :)) Nice to see you here too.

What is the difference between UCLA and UCB in terms of what they look for in an applicant?

@Obrigadaa Its all a holistic review so its the same with both UCB and UCLA. However looking at the statistics, UCB tends to admit people with higher test scores and GPAs compared to UCLA.

Guys I was reading through last year’s Berkeley thread and they all got their decisions at 8:30pm PST?? Am I really going to have to wait that long? :frowning:

Me too. I’m international and have no idea how I’ll be able to afford the fees. But first I have to get in of course. I got Provost to UC Davis and waitlisted by UCLA. Any idea what my chances are like for Berkeley ?

Has 5PM PST been set by Berkeley as an official time?

@eskaliding pretty much lol

Still 12 hours; how can i wait all these hours? :frowning:

I’m more confident about my chances at ivies tbh. As evidenced by my UMich and Gatech acceptances, and my UCLA and UCSB rejections, I think my common app as a whole is just better and much more well presented than my UC application

@McKilla99 I believe every application now has a huge randomness factor. I don’t think it is possible have precise calibration when they have 100,000 applicants. Any introduced error to plus or minus would skew an application by a wild range of places. In order words: Just Keep Praying. :slight_smile:

WE OUT HERE CRYING

WE OUT HERE DYING

Hey guys :slight_smile: ! Any of y’all with perfect SATs applying to Berkeley? I’m looking for a roommate for when I get accepted today :slight_smile:

@2400sONLY2400s LOL nice joke mate

@potatoheadhala I’m not joking, m8! Do you have a 2400, because I do :D!

Having a 2400 doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be accepted. I have a 2400 too, and several of my friends last year who had 2400s/36s were rejected.
