There’s nothing to me. Anybody else got off the waitlist?

At this point I’d say no.
I met with an admissions officer at Berkeley after I got waitlisted/rejected last year. they advised me to reapply cause i was applying from a 4 year and was told thats why i was waitlisted. i did a year of CC so got re-qualified as a cc transfer.
In any case, if Berkeley didn’t want me, I wouldn’t have been waitlisted.
Would this be the first wave? I heavily doubt 1 person(ofc, not everyone waitlisted is on here) would be involved in wave 1 when UCLA which has a higher yield rate was pulling dozens daily.
What? Didn’t someone JUST posted that Live Chat admissions say it starts at the end of this week?

Feeling the same. I guess the real big wave should still be on Friday.
I don’t think this is the first wave. I have a feeling a decent amount of people get in friday.
2nd Wave is always the biggest based off of past threads. 3rd wave is more bleak. However, 2nd wave should be THE NEXT WEEK FRIDAY after the first wave, which wouldn’t match up if today is first wave and supposedly lots will come this Friday. I am just so confused =/

I’m just trying to think about it logistically, yes Berkeley had some site issues but if they were even close to capacity why would they expand SIR deadline? UCLA which also had issues did not, and UCLA has been pulling an incredulous amount from the waitlist. I would find it hard to believe that based on these facts that Berkeley would just cut the size of the class this year. Idk about you guys but I know far more people who got into UCLA but not Berkeley this year. I just think they may be behind schedule with all the COVID stuff.

Just finished all requirements this semester, wait list essay was good but essays are not my strong suit.
Got into UC Davis on TAG, and offered regent scholarship there. Hopefully I hear back from Cal one way or another soon!
