Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0
UC GPA: 4.44
Rank: N/A
ELC: yes
AP: 5’s in World History, Biology, Language and Composition; currently enrolled in Microeconomics, Lit., Calc. AB, and Government; have/or will have taken all AP’s offered at my school.
IB: N/A

Extracurriculars: Science Club (president), Science Bowl (Team Captain), Math Club (vice president), CSF (tutor), Interact Club (vice president), Link Crew Leader, School Site Council (President), Band/Marching Band, played piano for 13 years

Volunteer/Community service: Through school clubs (CSF, Interact) and also volunteer with women’s refuge–one of the founders of a student-led group that supports its program for young children
Personal Statement: I was initially pretty nervous about them, because I went a more creative route despite what I’ve heard about how the UC’s want a more straightforward personal statement. So maybe if you have an unusual idea that you’re passionate about, go for the risk and be creative…?

State (if domestic applicant): CA
School Type: Public

Reflection

Strengths: Academics. Potentially good essays? Hard to say on essays.
Weaknesses: Not the most leadership-oriented student colleges have ever seen, and not particularly self-starting with community service and such.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Rejected at Stanford, accepted at SJSU, waiting to find out about UCB and SCU.

General Comments:
I got the Regent’s Scholarship / was accepted into the Honors Program! This is definitely making me consider UCD a bit more than previously, but I really won’t be able to decide until I know everywhere I’ve gotten in at.

@davisforlyfe Yes, if you click on MyAwards (fingers crossed I remembered the name of the link right  ), you should be able to view your financial info.

@nemo18 - just got home. My son was accepted at UC Davis and UCSD so far. UCD sent an email (he got Regents and Provost scholarship offers). UCSD I think he found out through the portal; no email or call. Also no Regents or Provost. He also applied UCSB but afaik no decision from them yet.

@davisforlyfe my portal stated "I am pleased to offer you admission to the University of California, Davis, for fall quarter 2016 in the Sustainable Environmental Design major.

The links at right allow you to view your financial aid award, register for events and explore some of the resources and opportunities that await you as a UC Davis student.

The deadline to accept or decline your offer of enrollment on this website is 11:45 pm (Pacific Time) on May 1. To accept, you must pay a non-refundable, non-transferable $100 deposit. You may return to this website as many times as you wish before the SIR deadline."

I wanted to view any financial aid that I’ve gotten. By logging in and accepting MyAwards, does that mean I accept the acceptance?

Accepted for Global Disease Biology!

SAT 2170 SS, UC GPA 4.30, 3.90 unweighted

Accepted for Philosophy with Regents + UHP!

Hi guys, I got an acceptance email from UC Davis at 4:17 PM PT. But I’m afraid I called them up and they noted they were releasing decisions after 5:00 PM. I think they made a mistake, and in reality I got rejected. I just wanted to hear from any student in the same situation, or if anyone could offer me advice. Should I email them? Who should I direct the email to?
Thanks lots.

@thsoup I think most everyone got their decision before 5 PM. You are definitely not alone. I got mine at around 3. Rejoice my friend, do not doubt yourself! It’s time to celebrate!

Often time, decisions are released before the time they specify.
