UC Davis Parent & Family Council is hosting an “Ask a Parent” webinar post-Aggie Day. See link to register for Zoom info.

https://alumni.ucdavis.edu/events/ask-parent-webinar-prospective-uc-davis-parents

Wed, Apr 15, 2026 @ 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Location

Online via Zoom - Link will be provided upon registration!

Is your student interested in attending UC Davis next year? Did you leave Aggie Day with a lot of questions? After seeing and experiencing all UC Davis has to offer your students at Aggie Day, we’re sure you have some lingering questions!

The Aggie Parent & Family Council is hosting a webinar to share their collective experiences and answer your questions during a webinar just for prospective and incoming Aggie parents and families. We’ll share how parents are involved with UC Davis, share our experiences and answer your questions.

This webinar is not a virtual Aggie Day, but a chance to ask questions of and hear from your peers who’ve traveled the road to UC Davis with their students ahead of you.

If I’m not mistaken Aggie Day (for 1st year and transfer students) is April 11. Available online evidence suggests transfer students will be notified April 10. Could it be that UCD would really notify transfer students one day before Aggie Day? For us its not a huge deal, we are just over the causeway but seems totally unfair to out-of-town transfer applicants if this is true. Is this the historical pattern? thx

There should be an Aggie Day for transfer students in May.

Thx, that would certainly make more sense! When I go to this website to me it seems that Aggie Day on the 11th is for both 1st year and transfer though maybe it hasn’t been updated. https://aggieday.ucdavis.edu

There is also Picnic Day on April 18 as another option.

Daughter was invited to apply for the LEADR program. Does anyone have knowledge or experience with this?

My daughter’s decision: waitlisted to marine bio major

UC UW: 3.88

UC capped: 4.14

UC FW: 4.58

ELC don’t know

I am not sure about all the other stats - she had maybe 4 honors courses, 5 or 6 APs and a bunch of CC courses.

No awards but did a lot of marine bio ECs

in state

not first gen

strengths: marine bio ECs

weakness: lower UW GPA

accepted at UCSD, UCSC and waitlisted at UCD, UCSB, UCLA, CSLB and still waiting for UCB, SDSU, Cal Poly SLO (last two are probably rejects or waitlists)
