After over 5 years of off-and-on classes at community college, a whole load of roadblocks, and a lot self development-- I got into my first university, EVER, today! I’m so so so SO excited.
Few stats: 3.34 gpa, polisci, no tag, in state, transfer from cc, will finish igetc by the end of spring 2020, finished all major requirements (I think? tbh I did the application process entirely on my own so I don’t remember most stuff about it)
@thestereo84 I don’t think you listing that it should be covered is the same as UCD actually looking at the course and being able to verify that it fulfilled a requirement. Its worth a call to check and see if that was the only issue in case theres something you can do.
@SatanFlower69 Thanks for the insight. I really just don’t remember how exactly I listed that English class on my app but I will definitely call them and verify.
That happens sometimes with unknown reasons. One of my friends also got rejected by UC Davis in which she has a 3.97 GPA. However, please don’t get upset. You have pretty good stats, and the best is yet to come!
I was accepted for Statistics and I did TAG.
Overall I had a 3.9 transfer GPA. Very happy and excited as this is the first school I have heard back from!
Good Luck to everyone else!
The only thing that stands out to me is it says I have to receive a B in my bio class under “conditions of admission”. Is this the same for all you psych majors? I think this is doable for me, but it has become 1000X times harder with the combination of a crap teacher and everything online. I also have not gotten any C’s, so i think that rules out them being worried about me? Worst case, I’m thinking because of our circumstances if I somehow got a C they may let is slide. Of course, I’ll try my best to make sure there’s not even a risk. Thoughts?
I got accepted for psych as well, and I had completed their Bisc 2A, and they said I needed Anthropology? Like the Bisc 2A bypasses the need for the anthropology course.
I think it’s flat out! Regents are merit-based I believe, but I’m not sure. For UCSC, my 10,000 for their regents was evenly distributed throughout the two years ( I checked the financial aid award schedule) so I think it should be the same for UCD.
Nvm. I asked him again and he said that " it’s a bunch of grants and stuff but it covers everything"… Basically just financial aid lmao. So disregard this.
