<p>Hi,
I am also a transfer student majoring in International Relations and I think you will be able to fulfill your language requirement by taking a proficiency exam. I was looking at the International Relations advising page and it says that “the language requirement may be met with equivalent course coverage as verified by transfer credit or Advanced Placemen t credit (see chart in General Catalog for specific course equivalency), or by UCD placement test. Check with the College of Letters & Science Deans Office to determine transfer language level and avoid duplication of credit.” Here’s the page: [UC</a> Davis: International Relations Program : IR Program Advising Handbook (Curriculum Effective September, 2010)](<a href=“http://ir.psdomain.ucdavis.edu/advising/advising_handbook.html]UC”>http://ir.psdomain.ucdavis.edu/advising/advising_handbook.html)
I think you should be fine but make sure to ask a counselor or adviser!! Hope this helps.</p>
