USC? pah, don’t speak of that college in my presence! spoiled children indeed! (actually, i didn’t even apply there lol)

I dunno about the chancellor’s scholarship at Irvine – i missed the deadline for applying for the honors program (CHP?). But for sure, the scholarship sounds very enticing.

However, UCSD is a top research university with quite a formidable reputation. the only thing bothering me about this is that USCD will be the most expensive to attend. Additionally, i applied to Revelle college, which is reputed to have the most rigorous GE’s. (Can anyone speak to this? How rigorous are Revelle GE’s compared to UCD or UCI?) Furthermore, I know that if I go to UCSD, i will be forced to seriously nerd things up – which I don’t mind, heh.

Arrright, then there’s UC Davis! I visited and definitely approve. The reputation for Life Sciences is solid and despite what USNews says, it is comparable to UCI. I also suspect that it will be easier to get a higher GPA there than at UCSD, not to mention plenty more undergrad internship/research opportunities available. In terms of money, UC Davis is cheaper than UCSD, but more expensive than UCI, since I wasn’t given any scholarships/financial aid.

That said, how do I choose? aahhaaaa
