funny thing is i got berkeley’s prereq’s done but not SD’s and LA’s… ah well.

We are in the same boat hobo. I have satisfied all of the Haas Berkeley requirements (as well as the lack of requirements from other schools), but I am short a calculus class for UCLA. However, I did get a regents scholarship invite to LA, so I’m not sure what to expect.
best of luck man

do some community colleges offer calc-based stats? that’s a major requirement for berkeley, but i took regular stats instead; strange thing is UCLA for biz econ doesn’t require financial & managerial accounting (u take it at the upper division level), while every other school for econ transfers do.

Here’s a thought- maybe they make the prereq’s different so they can tell which school you want to go to the most. Obviously, the school whose prereq’s you have chosen to fulfill is your first choice. Just a thought, kind of a conspiracy theory… but man if I was an admissions person, I would be looking for every bit of info I could gather on the applicants when it came time to choosing one over another.

Its bedtime for bonzo! I have a clac exam tomorrow.
goodevening…

“do some community colleges offer calc-based stats?”

My CC’s math department is pretty extensive, but they don’t offer calc-based stats as far as I know. I think in a lot of cases you have no choice but to do some prereqs at the university level. There’s only one prerequisite for my major at Berkeley; namely, intro to linguistics, but not one CC in my entire area offers it.

Los Angeles: April 30->> (40 days to go)
Berkeley: May 1 (41 days to go)

Davis: March 15-April 30 (BEGUN)
Irvine: March 1-April 30 (BEGUN)
Merced: March 1-March 31 (BEGUN)
Riverside: March 1-April 30 (BEGUN)
San Diego: March 15(17)-April 30 (BEGUN)
Santa Barbara: March 17-April 30 (BEGUN)
Santa Cruz: March 15-April 30 (BEGUN)

We are down to the final stretch: only UCLA and Cal have yet to begin decisions.

Kudos got my hopes up for my Santa Barbara letter…at least I KNOW the mail only comes once a day so I can’t check it every hour like I do the website.

did anyone actually hear from SB yet?

Yeah, I got my acceptance letter in the mail yesterday.

Edit: I think the reason why I got mine so early is because I applied to a major with not very many people in it (Film Studies). This may be true for why I heard from UCI early as well. But, it’s just speculation.

Accepted!!! SB!! Yay!!! 3/3!!!

Did it show up on the website, Mia?

I can’t speak for her, but I just checked and the website updated my status. I checked twice before this morning, and it hadn’t updated. My suggestion is that everyone check now to see if there has been a change.

Edit: I hope this doesn’t cause you guys to become even more neurotic and check every 5 minutes. I usually check 3 times per day, morning, afternoon, and night. Now, I won’t have to until UCLA/Berkeley decisions come out, haha.

kudos -> so people who got into UCSB were all notified by mail?

I’m not sure. Yesterday I received my admissions letter, and up until a few hours ago, the website had not reflected my admission. Last week I found out about UCI online, but still have not received a letter in the mail. Don’t be too worried, I believe within the next 1-2 weeks most everyone should have a decision. Whether that’s online or by snail mail.

Oh man, I got my UCI notification online but not the letter as well. I am hoping to get a letter from UCSB in the mail today

Still no changes for me with UCI and SB, no decision.

Gabe, did you get a notification in your e-mail from davis that you got in? or did you just check one day and found out?

It is an email notification that a decision is ready, not the decision itself.

Gabe…It was regular mail…and the website still says pending…i dunno, I would say just wait for mail!
and wow…you still havent gotten anything from UCI?
