<p>What were her stats Kev? Getting into cal as a freshie is crazy competitive.</p>
<p>Yes… well, she got a 3.97 GPA (unweighted–no extra point for AP) with many AP courses like chem, calculus and so on… decent ECs; particularly she is a president in a club for like more than 2 years which shows a lot of commitment… she has musical talent; she plays piano for many years and also have been working as a private piano teacher… active in school choir club…first generation college student… fine SATs scores … her school is a California distinct private school… </p>
<p>What really makes her stand out are her great great essays, I could say outstanding essays (very personal and reflected her great personality, contribution to school and a never give up spirit, deep interest in the major and so on… just great essays)</p>

<p>yeah from what i’ve heard from this board, I hear UCSD updates their decisions in bulk on weekends.</p>
<p>I discovered my acceptance at myucsd about two saturdays ago.</p>
<p>I’ve checked the websites like 3 times a days 7 days a week and a whole month already!!! it is like 90 times logging on and on where I can actually spell the ID number even when i’m in deep sleep.

<p>UCSB and UCSD should really amend this whole process and release decisions all on one day. The current system is really a waste of time for all of us who are anxious for decisions.</p>
